Christmas dinner at The Stag is a little different.

Rather than squeezing in multiple sittings, turning tables and watching the clock, on selected evenings in December we slow things down.

One sitting. One specially created Christmas menu. And the whole evening ahead of you.

Following the popularity of these evenings last Christmas, Dan has created another menu for 2026 — unmistakably festive, but very much in the style of food we cook at The Stag.

Arrive from 6.30pm, settle in with a glass of mulled wine, and we'll begin dinner at 7pm.

The Dates

Saturday 5th, 12th & 19th December
Wednesday 23rd December

Arrival from 6.30pm | Dinner at 7pm

There is just one sitting each evening, so once you're at your table, it's yours for the night.

We deliberately keep numbers limited and these evenings were very popular last year, so advance booking is essential.

What to Expect

This isn't our normal à la carte service with a Christmas dish added to it. This is 6 courses of great food.

For these evenings, the Christmas menu is the menu. The whole restaurant will sit down at roughly the same time, allowing Dan and the team to cook and serve the menu as it was intended.

Think less Christmas party conveyor belt and more a long Christmas dinner at The Stag.

Come early, have a drink at the bar, sit down for 7pm and make an evening of it.

There is no rush to give your table back after dessert.

Dietary Requirements

We can adapt certain dishes for individual dietary requirements, but because this is a specially created fixed menu, we do need to know about these in advance.

Please tell us about any allergies, intolerances or dietary requirements when booking so that we can confirm what we're able to accommodate.

Our kitchen handles a wide range of allergens and therefore anyone with a severe allergy should speak to us before booking.
