“Gather” is a new dining experience built around something simple but powerful – bringing people together around a table of great food. Designed for larger groups and special occasions, Gather will see our upstairs rooms transformed into spaces where friends, family and colleagues can come together to share generous dishes, pass plates, laugh, talk and make lasting memories.

For our chef Dan, this concept comes from the place where his love of food first began. Growing up, food was always the centre of family life – his mum cooking, his dad making sure everyone had a drink, and tables full of food being shared by family and friends. People would graze for hours, pass plates around, play board games, laugh, occasionally cry, and simply enjoy being together. From babies and toddlers to teenagers, parents and grandparents – everyone had a place at the table.

Those moments created some of Dan’s most cherished memories and ultimately shaped the way he thinks about food today.

With Gather, we want to recreate that feeling here at The Stag Inn. A warm, welcoming space where great food brings people together and every table tells its own story.

Dan is currently developing a range of sharing menus designed for larger groups, perfect for celebrations, family gatherings and special occasions.
